The ASYCUDA  programme is directed at reforming the customs clearance process.

ASYCUDA is a computerised customs management system which covers most foreign trade procedures. The system handles manifests and customs declarations, accounting procedures, transit andsuspense procedures. ASYCUDA generates trade data that can be used for statistical economic analysis.

Phases of the Program:

• The preparation phase proceeds with an assessment of the actual situation.
• The pilot implementation phase which includes the preparation of the national AYCUDA configuration
• The roll-out phase
