Eleventh Meeting

Panama City, 28-29 June, 2001

PRESS COMMUNIQUÉ

1. The Eleventh Meeting of the Committee of Government Representatives on the Participation of Civil Society took place in Panama City from July 28-29, 2001, with the participation of representatives from 19 countries, some of who also represented their respective sub regional groups. The countries represented included: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.
    

2. During the meeting, the representatives approved the attached agenda and discussed the items accordingly.
    

3. The next meeting of the Committee of Government Representatives on the Participation of Civil Society is scheduled for July 25-26, 2001.
