PRESS COMMUNIQUE

1. The Fourteenth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Investment was held in Panama City from January 14 to 16, 2002. The following countries participated in the meeting: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.

2. The agenda approved for discussion is attached as  Annex I.

3. The next meeting will be held from March 11 through 13, 2002.
