PRESS COMMUNIQUE

1. The Eleventh Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Investment was held in Panama City on June 25 – 27, 2001. The following countries participated in the meeting: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.

2. The agenda approved for discussion is attached as  Annex 1.

3. The next meeting of the Negotiating Group on Investment will be held on August 20 – 22, 2001.
