1. The second meeting of the Negotiating Group on Investment was held in Miami, the United States from February 16-17, 1999, with the participation of the following 24 countries: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America, Uruguay and Venezuela.

2. The agenda approved for discussion is attached as Annex I.

3. During the meeting all the topics on the agenda were discussed.

4. The Negotiating Group will hold its third meeting from April 20-23.
