Documentation Required for Application for a 
Visitor Visa 

All persons require a passport to enter Peru ( except citizens from Ecuador) 
  • A valid passport (recommend a minimum of one year validity beyond intended stay) 
  • Application Form 
  • Return airline ticket or travel itinerary as proof of onward travel

Applicants are required to take applications to the nearest Consulate in person.

Multiple Entry 
Visa


Peru issues multiple-entry visas for tourist and business visas.


Validity/Extension

Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days of stay. The General Secretary of Immigration and Naturalization from the Ministry of the Interior can issue two extensions for 30 days each one.


Cost of Visa Application

If applying for the first time for a tourist visa a fee of US$10 is charged for citizens of American countries and a US$12 fee is charged to citizens of any other country in the world. In the case of extension a US$20 fee will be charged for each extension. 


Accompanying dependants

Family members accompanying a visitor to Peru must also meet all requirements for temporary entry.

Requirements for Temporary Entry 
of Short-term Business Visitors




Peru's Immigration Regulations allow for persons to enter Peru to carry on certain business or trade-related activities without the need to hold an employment authorization, as they are not considered to be coming to Peru to work. These persons usually represent a foreign company, therefore they must present proof of it. Examples are: representatives coming to Peru to sell goods other than to the general public; employees of an organization coming to consult with a branch, subsidiary or parent; representatives of a foreign firm coming to purchase goods or services and persons seeking entry to sign contracts.

Validity/Extension

The validity of this visa is for 90 days. For Business visas the duration for emission is 1 day. An extension to the business visa can be issued only one time for 30 days only.


Specific 
Requirements

If applying for the first time for a business visa a US$25 fee will be charged citizens of American countries and $US27 for citizens of the rest of the world. In case of an extension a US$20 fee will be charged.
