Thirteenth Meeting

Panama, July 2 - 6, 2001

PRESS COMMUNIQUÉ

The Thirteenth Meeting of the Negotiating Group on Market Access was held in Panama City, Panama from July 2-6, 2001. Delegations from the following countries were in attendance: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, and Uruguay.

The NGMA agreed on the Agenda, which is attached to the present press communiqué. All the items on the Agenda were covered.

The NGMA continued with its Work Program for this cycle of negotiations.

The next meeting of the Group will be held in Panama City, Panama from August 6-10, 2001.
